Mildred Machell Nazworthy Bryant, "Missy," a loved and adored wife, mother, grandma, sister, friend and a mom to many, passed away in her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Aug. 22, 2007, in Moses Lake. Missy was bom in Seattle, and lived most of her life in the Everett and Marysville area. She retired with her lifetime partner, Charles Bryant, in Moses Lake, with three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Husband Charles Bryant, four children, Joannie Alice Nazworthy, Brenda Sue Madison, James Ray Nazworthy and Tonya Latrice Bryant, 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and eight siblings survived Missy. She also was a mom and grandma to KaDesha Nazworthy, Keelyn Bryant, Adele Nazworthy, Tara Nazworthy and newly acquired great-grandson Tarance Nazworthy. Missy was also a great friend and a wonderful mother figure to many. She will be deeply missed, although she will always be in our hearts and looking over us. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at Benson's Funeral Home, 104 W 5th Avenue, Moses Lake, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. To honor her life, graveside funeral services will be held on Aug. 29, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Moses Lake Cemetery, 14403 Rd. 2 N.E. Florence Abbie Moore, 91, of Moses Lake went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Aug. 18, 2007, after a one-month struggle with congestive heart failure. Florence was born to Joe and Ethel Hanby on Dec.18, 1915, at Baker City, Ore., where she grew up, graduating from high school in 1933. Florence attended Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore., for 1 1/2 years and then Eastern Oregon Normal School (now Eastern Oregon University) at La Grande for another year, where she graduated with an associate's degree in education in 1936. She then taught school for six years in one-room schools at Copperfield, Ore., near where Brownlee Dam is now located; Mt. Carmel, Ore., near North Powder; and Boardman, Ore.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Kayser's Chapel of Memories. Viewing will take place at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Friday morning from 8 a.m. until noon. Longtime Moses Lake resident and educator Betty Hein passed away July 9 in Spokane following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. At her bedside in her final moments were her son Richard and daughter-in-law Marissa. Betty is preceded in death by her beloved husband John Hein in 1986.

Randal William "Randy" Wright, age 56, died suddenly at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake on Saturday, July 28, 2007. Randy was born the eighth of nine children on June 7, 1951, in Saint Ignatius, Mont. to Ronald Desmond and Flora Hazel (Thornock) Wright.
