WENATCHEE - Fifteen members of the Moses Lake Pirates were recently honored on the All-West Coast Collegiate Baseball League teams.

WCCBL commissioner Jim Dietz announced the league's annual awards on Aug. 11, as voted by owners and coaches.

Zach Kim, who split his time with Moses Lake between second base and outfield, shared the league's Most Valuable Player award with Kitsap's Brandon Kuykendall. Kim was a big part of the Pirates' championship team, leading the league with 56 hits and 32 runs scored. He also hit .327 and was second in the league with 63 total bases.

Moses Lake head coach Gabe Boruff was the league's Coach of the Year, as the second-year skipper guided the Pirates to a 29-13 regular-season record and a 4-1 mark in the playoffs.

Along with Kim, three other Pirates were named to the league's first team - outfielder Steve Tinoco, starting pitcher Dale Reneau and relief pitcher Daniel Wolford.

Starting pitchers Jorge Reyes and Tyler Rogers, along with reliever Lee Roberts, earned second team nods.

Outfielder Mike Capbarat, catcher Kevin Coddington, infielders Zach Hedges and Marcus Tackett, and starting pitchers Josh Fish, Ben Guidos and Michael Ratigan were all honorable mention selections.
