Last week in their afternoon session ,the commissioners approved a governance policy for all their actions concerning the PUD. Item 20, Code of Conduct, states each commissioner will disclose any remote conflict of interest and “a commissioner with such remote interest, will not participate in any discussion and/or debate concerning such interest, will not vote on the matter”.

Reader questions removal of 'God'

The motto of the United States of America is "in God we trust." One of the two major political parties in this country totally removed the word "God" from their party platform, then had to restore it by a questionable two-thirds majority voice vote on national television. Let us consider what it would mean to completely remove all references to GOD from our government. The words "Right," "Religion," and "Morality" as they existed when they were written in the Declaration of Independence, the United
