Reclamation Announces Negotiations with the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District for Amendment of Renewal Master Water Service Contract The Bureau of Reclamation invites interested members of the public to observe a working session with the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District (District). The purpose of this session will be for Reclamation and the District to arrive at mutually agreeable terms and conditions for a proposed amendment to Renewal Master Water Service Contract No. 159E101882. The amendment would, among other things, authorize the District to provide Columbia Basin Project irrigation water as groundwater replacement irrigation water service to up to an additional 70,000 acres of irrigable lands, located within the Odessa Subarea and within the service area of the District. The contract amendment will reflect existing Federal Reclamation law and policy governing water service contracts. The goal of the negotiations is to arrive at a mutually agreeable contract. The negotiation session will be held: July 16, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. ATEC Center Big Bend Community College Bldg. 1800, 7611 Bolling Street NE Moses Lake, WA 98837 From Moses Lake take Patton Blvd to Bolling Street NE; turn left. Coronavirus cases continued to increase in hard-hit states like Arizona and Florida where expanding outbreaks have shifted the pandemic’s epicenters to the South and the West ahead of the July Fourth holiday. On Wednesday, Vice President Mike Pence planned to visit Arizona, where cases have spiked after stay-at-home orders expired in mid-May.

As a reminder, landholders who either directly or indirectly own and/or lease land in the Subarea over the forms submittal threshold must file annual Reclamation Reform Act of 1982 (RRA) forms by March 15, 2009 to be eligible to receive Reclamation irrigation water. Forms will be accepted until March 16, 2009 as March 15 falls on a Sunday. This includes but is not limited to individuals, entities, trusts, estates, public entities, religious or charitable organizations, and farm operators. This is a westwide disclosure. Any and all land must be counted if it is in a district subject to the RRA.
