Gayle Michelle Bonato, 61, of Holts Summit, Missouri, formerly of Moses Lake, Washington, passed away Aug. 8, 2023. She was born Aug. 27, 1961, in Othello, Washington, a daughter of the late William A. and Susan D. (Kanenwisher) Whitmer. Gayle enjoyed quilting, playing the guitar and singing. She was a very selfless person and enjoyed helping others. She was furthering her education before her illness by attending college online at Capella University. Gayle loved her family but she especially cherished every minute spent with her grandchildren. Gayle is survived by her husband David Bonato of Holts Summit; one daughter Jennifer Mwangi (Wilson), also of Holts Summit; one son James Whitmer of Washington; daughter-in-law Allison Bonato-Garcia of Oregon; grandchildren Rachael, Rivers, Gianna, Samuel, Ruth and Sarah; sister Courtney; and brothers Scott, David and T.J. Along with her parents, Gayle was preceded in death by two sons Tony Bonato and Matthew Bonato and sister her Brenda.
