Fishing Kids day is tomorrow

This is the perfect weekend for family fun. First attend the Fishing Kids event at Cascade Park. The cost is $5, but this is a minimal amount for the benefits received by the participants ages 5 through 14. Each angler will be entitled to a two-fish limit, a photo with their catch and they will be allowed to keep their rod and reel, which is donated by Zebco.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thi Sanh Ayers, who peacefully departed on Sept. 23, 2025, in Moses Lake, Washington, at the age of 89, after a long battle with various illnesses. Born on Jan. 1, 1936, in Can Tho, Vietnam, Thi Sanh moved to the United States in 1975 and dedicated the last 50 years to making Moses Lake her beloved home. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sanh will be cherished for her fierce fighting spirit, her incredible survivor mentality, and her deep passion for gardening, cooking, and fishing.

MOSES LAKE — Family and friends of Moses Lake High School junior Cole Tabert will hold a fundraising car wash from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the parking lot in front of Quiznos, 933 North Stratford Rd. The money raised will go toward Cole’s trip, with his fishing partner Dylan Hansen, to the national high school bass fishing tournament in Kentucky Lake, Tenn., in August. Dylan graduated last weekend with the MLHS class of 2016.
