RITZVILLE — Three people were injured when an unidentified driver hit the back of their car and sent it rolling multiple times on Interstate 90 about 12 miles northeast of Ritzville Nov. 13. The driver of the second car fled on foot.

SEATTLE (AP) — Jordan Eberle scored two goals, both set up by Matty Beniers, and the Seattle Kraken beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 on Saturday night to continue the best start in franchise history. Tye Kartiye scored his first of the season as the Kraken improved to 5-2-2. In the past two games, Seattle has defeated last season’s President’s Trophy winner Winnipeg (3-0 on Thursday in Winnipeg) and now Stanley Cup runner-up Edmonton.

SEATTLE (AP) — Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle each had a goal and an assist as the Seattle Kraken beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 on Monday night. Jamie Oleksiak also scored for Seattle, and Joey Daccord finished with 29 saves. Andre Burakovsky scored for Chicago and Arvid Soderblom stopped 21 shots.

MOSES LAKE – Local authorities were notified that the New Bride Missionary Baptist church was on fire late Wednesday afternoon. An officer from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office who was on the scene said the entire building was engulfed in flames by the time they had gotten onto the scene.

Moses Lake woman found deceased

MOSES LAKE – On Monday night, 60-year-old Rauline Silva was found deceased behind the Moses Lake Safeway according to Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison. A person had called into the Moses Lake Police Department at around 9:40 p.m., reporting an unconscious woman behind the store, according to MLPD Captain Jeff Sursely. Sursely did not have any other information on the matter. An autopsy was performed the following day and determined Silva had died at around 10:02 p.m. Monday from acute methamphetamine intoxication, according to Morrison.
