US home price gains accelerate as pandemic shakes up housing
WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. home prices jumped in September as strong demand, low interest rates and the smallest number of available homes on record combined to push up housing costs.

The rainbow trout activity on Potholes Reservoir and the Seep Lakes below O'Sullivan Dam has been amazing at times this April. Bank fishers using Powerbait, Pautsker's Eggs, Coon Shrimp and the old fundamental, Night-Crawler with marshmallow have been the best luck for a great catch.

EPHRATA — Incumbent Dale Walker will run for a second term on the Grant County PUD commission.
Othello Girls Tennis continues to roll
Wapato — The Huskies opened league action in fine fashion with a 4-1 road win over the Wapato Wolves March 29. Othello got strong play from all three doubles team that went undefeated in the match. The lone loss of the outing came at second singles. Othello (6-0, 1-0) is currently deadlocked in a 4-way tie with Selah, Toppenish, Ellensburg and Grandview atop the league standings, but is clearly one of the teams to beat in the Central Washington Athletic Conference.

MOSES LAKE – According to a Monday statement, business jet interior completion center Greenpoint Technologies has announced the induction of a Boeing Business Jet 787-9 for a full VVIP interior completion at its Moses Lake hangar facility.

MARDON — The current water level on Potholes Reservoir is 1,045.1 feet, coming up 1.05 feet this past week. We are currently 1.4 feet below full pool. The water temperature on the main lake is right around 50 degrees. The sand dunes are staying in the mid- to upper 50s.

EPHRATA – The Ephrata School Board last night selected Matthew Truscott to fill the board’s vacant position. Truscott replaces long-time board member Alan Key, who resigned from the board in February.
