Raymona Brown Orman

Our beloved Raye went to our Lord on March 31, 2007, from Moses Lake at age 69. She was born July 16, 1937, in Albuquerque, N.M. to W.B. and Clara Price. She graduated high school in Moriaty, N.M., and business college in Albuquerque, N.M. Raye was an active, energetic, and hard-working lady. She retired in 1992 after working as a secretary for the cities of Tukwila, Chewelah, and Airway Heights, Wash. She moved to Moses Lake in 1991, and spent the rest of her life in this area. Raye had a fondness for being outdoors. She loved to camp, fish, take walks, tend to her lawn, garden, and numerous flowers. Always interested in new experiences, she traveled to various places, just to see new things and meet new friends. Never one to be content just sitting around doing nothing, Raye loved to go dancing, and loved music. Rarely did she miss a chance to hear her friends Bruce and Betsy Mullen play when they came to the area. Raye was a kind, generous, and loving soul. She would go out of her way to make everyone feel important, welcomed, cherished, and loved. She was the person who would see you having a bad day and do her best to lift your spirits anyway she could. Raye was previously married and had four children when she met Francis "Brownie" Brown. He also had four children of his own, which Raye instantly made her own. She never made a distinction between any of the eight, treating and loving them all equally. She and Brownie had many wonderful years and lots of special memories together before he passed away in 1998. In 2000, Raye met Alford N. Orman "Al Sr." They found a unique understanding, respect, and kinship in one another. They were married in Moses Lake on March 30, 2002. Al Sr. had three children of his own, and they became Raye's "kids" as well. Her abundance of love had more than ample room for them, and she treated them as equal as any of the others. Raye and Al Sr. shared many beautiful moments and memories together, and it was very rare to see one without the other. They worked together and played together every day, enjoying the short five years they were together.
