Don L. Draney

Don L. Draney passed away from cancer Friday morning, May 20, 2016 at his home in Moses Lake surrounded by family. Don was born in View, Idaho on June 6, 1936 to Floyd and Floy Draney. In 1953 he married his wife of 62 years, Carolyn.

Throughout his working career, Don managed farm co-ops in Quincy, Wash., Burley, Idaho, Winnemucca, Nev., The Dalles, Ore., Royal City, Wash. and Bruce, Wash.

Don loved nature and raising livestock. In particular, he loved spending time in sagebrush, rocky mountains and juniper trees. He spent many years of his life raising sheep, turkeys, chickens, pigs, beef cattle and horses.

In the spring, he enjoyed riding his horse in sagebrush country; then as the season moved on, he loved riding through the high country on trails through the pine trees.

Don is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughter Anita Coriell of Thompson Falls, Mont.; son-in-law Charlie (Terri) Roberts of Nampa, Idaho; grandchildren, Monica (Rick) Chapman of Moscow, Idaho, Nathan (Brian) Foster of Seattle, Wash., Cody (Tiffany) Roberts of Palmdale, Calif.; three brothers John (Linda) Draney of Nampa, Idaho, Brian (Sharon) Draney of MarDon, Wash. and Vance (Diane) Draney of Spokane, Wash; one sister Diane (John) Ensunsa of Castleford, Idaho; two great grandchildren Corinn and Kaili; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, daughters Annette Roberts and Rhonda Draney, and son-in-law, Bob Coriell.
