Philip Jacob “Jack” Steffler, 84, longtime Moses Lake resident, was taken all too soon from this world on July 25, 2008, at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. He was surrounded by loved ones and his loving wife, Ora was at his side. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the Rose Street Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1036 W. Rose Street with Bishop Don Tucker conducting. Interment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Donald A. Zeiler
Donald A. Zeiler was born June 8, 1930, in Odessa to Jacob and Katherine (Shaub) Zeiler Sr. He grew up in the Odessa area and attended school in Odessa. He joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He married Ione Zimbelman on Nov. 21, 1953, in Odessa and this is where they made their home for over 55 years.
Ja Oscar Shines Sr.
Hearts were overjoyed with the birth of Ja Oscar Shines Sr. Oct. 29, 1932, in Fort Towson, Okla., to Granson and Martha Shines. Hearts were saddened with his passing on July 17, 2008, in Spokane. He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Catherine Deloris Shines; his daughters Janice Thompson, Donna Bennett, Patricia Bradford; his son Joseph Shines; 12 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Fred William Froese, 93, lived in Moses Lake since 1960 and went to be with his Savior on July 17, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2008, at Lake City Foursquare Church with Dan Liening officiating. Interment will follow in Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Elda Haslam Wright
Elda Haslam Wright, 89, passed away in East Wenatchee on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from causes incidental to old age. She was born April 22, 1919, in Leavitt, Alberta, the daughter of Samuel Redford Haslam and Eliza Charlotte Broadbent. She married Chester Dean Wright on July 31, 1940, in the Alberta Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He passed away Sept. 18, 1984. Their oldest daughter, Judy, passed away June 4, 1980.

Myron A. Chambers, longtime Othello resident, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, in Moses Lake. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Thursday, July 10 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 611 S. 7th Ave., Othello. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial with full military honors will be in South Ogden, Utah. Myron's family has asked Carver Family Funeral Home, Moses Lake to care for arrangements.

Ernest Foy Hodo was born Sept. 14, 1938, to Ola Bell and Eddie Hodo in Monahan, Texas, a small town near El Paso. Ernie was the youngest of six children whose father was an oil field worker in the Texas panhandle. Eddie died shortly after Ernie's birth in an industrial accident.
