Lovell B. Robbins
Lovell B Robbins, 90, of Othello, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at Avalon Care Center in Othello with his wife at his side holding his hand.
Robert H. Dehnel
Robert H. (Bob) Dehnel lost his battle to cancer and heart disease on Nov. 12, 2008 in Moses Lake. He was born in Ritzville on June 1, 1922 to Albert and Lena (Wellsandt) Dehnel. His parents and his brothers Edwin and Vernon preceded him in death. His sister Florence Kiehn resides in Moses Lake. Bob is survived by his wife Velma. They were married in the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Ritzville in 1945. They have four children, Rodney, Valeria (Bob) Wiitala of Ritzville, Randy in Moses Lake and Donald who lives in Seattle. He has five grandchildren, Troy, Marcy, Donovan, C.J. and Randy Jr., and eight great-grandchildren. Robert grew up on the family farm south of Ralston. He graduated from Ritzville High School in 1940. He continued farming for a few years after he married his wife Velma Schutz on Oct. 28, 1945. He then went to work at Pete's Garage for 16 years where, many times he was known to open his home to travelers with children, when they were broke down and stranded. He moved to Seattle in 1966. He retired from Seattle City Light on June 1, 1985 and moved back to Moses Lake. Shortly after retirement, Bob lost his eyesight to macular degeneration, limiting his retirement dreams. Robert loved the game of baseball. As a young man, he played several years for the Ralston "Rabbits" and Marcellus Grange. He also helped coach Little League Baseball and often played the game with his children and the neighbors. He was an avid fisherman who took his family on many camping trips. He enjoyed bowling and was in a Ritzville league for many years. Bob was active in Boy Scouts with his sons, and for a time was the Scout Master. While living in Moses Lake he volunteered for many community activities and helping the less fortunate. He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Ritzville. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) in Ritzville and Moses Lake. A memorial service in planned at Danekas Funeral Home in Ritzville on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to: Macular Degeneration Foundation P.O. Frederic W. Allen
Frederic W. Allen passed away on Nov. 16, 2008 in Moses Lake. Fred was born on Nov. 30, 1924 in Presque Isle, Maine. He resided on the family farm until 1950 when he joined the Navy. He proudly served his country and often told stories of his time in Russia. Upon returning from the service he entered Dartmouth College.
Clytie R. Nelson
Clytie R. Nelson, 98, passed away Nov. 16, 2008. She was born on Aug. 15, 1910 to Charles and Bonnie Williams in Ray, N.D.
Virgil R. Hall
Virgil R. Hall, 65, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sept. 26, 2008 at his home in Moses Lake. Virgil was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Tacoma, Wash. He was the oldest child of Roy and Leora Bullard Hall. The family moved to Montana when he was very young. They lived in various areas in Montana before settling in Great Falls.

Ray Earl Prentice, 78, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at his home. Interment with military honors will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Earl Jesser, 94, a resident of The Dalles, died at a care facility in The Dalles on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008.
James Marcus Marchand
James Marcus Marchand, 62, a longtime resident of Moses Lake and Ruff, Wash., died at his home Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008. He was born in Omak and raised in Moses Lake from the age of 2. He entered the Navy at 17 and was stationed at San Diego. His passion was working on his cars. Most of his life he worked as an operator engineer. His last place of employment was Hanford Nuclear Center. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, a son, Shawn and five grandchildren, a sister, JoAnn Hochstatter and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Jim in death are his parents, Cecil and Irene Marchand, a sister, Janet Turner and a great-nephew, Jackson. Family and friends are invited for a celebration of his life on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. at the home of JoAnn Hochstatter, 2928 W. Marina Dr., Moses Lake. Juan F. Zendejas Alvarez
Juan F. Zendejas Alvarez, 31, Moses Lake resident, passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at the Spanish Foursquare Church, 4148 Airway Drive in Moses Lake. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden. Viewing will take place at the church on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Yollanda Roelle
Yollanda Roelle, 53, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, after a very long battle with Lupus and COPD. Yollanda was born on June 14, 1955, to Consuelo and Elias Tijerina in Toledo, Ohio. She was raised in Ohio along with her two brothers and one sister. She met the love of her life, Mike Roelle, when she was only 15 and he was 14. They married three years later and had a baby girl, Rosalinda; eight and a half years later their family was comlete when her baby boy, Mike Jr. was born. Yollanda loved children and ran a daycare out of her home for 20 years and loved every child that came through her door. She was faithful and loving and so protective of her family. Her grandchild, Mariah, was the light of her life. She loved staying the night with her, staying up late and watching cartoons. She loved the Lord and was always in prayer for all of us. Yollanda enjoyed going to lunch with her sister-in-law and morning coffee with her brother, Bob. She will be missed by all, our hearts are broken, but we know she is in Heaven and we will see her again. Preceding Yollanda in death are her best friend and mother, Consuelo Tijerina, baby brother, Rolando Tijerina, and her grandparents, Augustine and Manuela Hernandez. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael Roelle, her father Elias Tijerina, sister Irene Ortiz, brothers Elias Jr. (Ralfalinta), Roberto (Christina), half-sisters Olga Gomboa and Anita (Ron) Webb, her children, Rosalinda (Jeremy) Lohr and Mikey Roelle and one grandchild, Mariah Lohr. Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, with an informal wake service from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Benson's Funeral Home, 104 W. 5th Avenue, Moses Lake. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Benson's Funeral Home. What a difference Yollanda made in our lives!
David W. Fazende
David W. Fazende, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008. David was born March 27, 1960, at Samaritan Hospital to David John and Kaye Louise (Jones) Fazende. He attended Moses Lake schools, Kinman Business College, served four years in the Air Force, several years in the reserves, and was an Eagle Scout. David was a hard worker and dedicated father. He had a strong desire to become somebody and make something of his life. He started in the movie buisness a long time ago, worked hard and eventually became the owner of several movie theatres. David is survived by his sons, David Everette and Tyler John, his wife, Jeanie, his father David John, his sisters Kim (John) Miller, Robin (Jerry) Goude, Crystal (Chris) Knight, his brother, Rob Fazende and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Kay Louise Fazende and his maternal and fraternal grandparents. We want him to know that he is loved and will always be remembered. A family graveside service was held. Arrangements are in care of Benson Family Funeral Service, Chapel, Cemetery and Crematory.

Margaret Ann Kubo, 62, longtime Moses Lake resident, died at home on Friday, Oct. 17, 2008. Margaret was born December 7, 1945 in Spokane to Walter W. and Margaret Ellen (Jones) Lutz.
Mary Anne Cox
Mary Anne Cox, 78, Moses Lake, born, Nov. 16, 1930, in Avery’s Creek, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Oct. 13, 2008, at Samaritan Hospital. Mary was the third child born to John and Bessie Cox. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Mary spent her younger life in North Carolina, before moving to the Soap Lake-Quincy area. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Bessie Cox, brothers Marvin, William, and Rickey and sister Eva Mitchell.
