Our loving husband and father, Robin “Bob” Trego Yearout, passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 94 in his Spokane, Wash. home. Bob was born in Yakima, Wash. on September 3, 1929, to Peter and Maxine (McCachren) Yearout and was raised on the family farm outside of Harrah, Wash.

Simon Casey, the company’s vice president of construction for the Western United States, said the construction expanded the data center to 777,000 square feet. Jeffrey Paul Van Ness, 61, of Moses Lake, passed away quietly at home with his family by his side Sept. 13, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. Jeff was born to Jerry A. Van Ness and Alice Kelley on Nov. 7, 1962, in Missoula, Montana, before settling in Moses Lake. After graduating from MLHS in 1981, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. As a sergeant in the Army, Jeff was stationed in Germany from 1981 to 1985, where he was honored and proud to serve his country. After returning home, Jeff had various jobs. He knew many trades, but was mostly mechanically inclined, and very hard-working.

MOSES LAKE – The Grant County Fairgrounds will host Moses Lake’s second annual Moravida Festival Oct. 27 and 28, a commemoration of life festival related to Day of the Dead for all ages intended to honor late loved ones and ancestors. The Moravida Pre-Party Kick-Off Dance on Oct. 27 will go from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., and the free Festival on Oct. 28 will go from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event’s planning committee consists of Fairgrounds Coordinator Rebecca Martinez and six other community members.
