Reader endorses Jon Lane

Jon Lane is seeking reelection for Moses Lake City Council, position 7. His experience and genuine caring attitude for the citizens and businesses of our City is his greatest asset. For example, last spring he initiated a meeting of local managers of companies on the Wheeler Corridor to meet with City Staff and other council members. The purpose was to hear how the businesses in that area, especially newly annexed industries, were adapting to "city life". We had a few issues that were discussed and several months later he followed-up, making sure those concerns were being resolved. Jon is truly concerned that city government is serving the people, not the people serving the city'. I strongly endorse Jon as a competent and worthy City Councilman and look forward to him serving another term.

My shot guns are oiled and lock up, my waders are hanging in the drying room, and my bibbs are put away for the year. My old faithful labrador, Calvin, is very depressed acting as he somehow knows that another hunting season has come and gone. All of us hunters have been turned into bird watchers this month, and that wont change until October 2013. It is amazing to watch large groups of Western Mallards fill the skies traveling to and from food and water.

If you haven’t heard, my wife Eileen and I are going to host another fishing trip this spring, and this time we are going Loreto, on the Baja, Mexico. I have yearned to fish the Sea of Cortez for years. I even flew down to Loreto a couple of years ago and checked out the guide services, lodging, the town and the fishing, of course.
