Elliott Eudene Ford was born in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, on Dec. 7, 1940, to Iva and Elliott C. Ford. He passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 83. Dean, as he was known, grew up in a family of eight children. He moved to Washington state, where he married Colleen (née Stokes) and joined the Air Force in 1959. After his service, he returned to Washington to join his wife, and they raised three daughters together: Debbie, Terri and Deanna. Dean was an independent businessman and owned and operated Dean Ford RV and I-90 RV in Moses Lake, Washington.

Tommy J. Dye, 86, of Othello, passed away peacefully at home on April 19, after battling a long illness. Tommy was born on October 28, 1937, to George Washington Dye and Marinda Athalina Roberts in Busch, Arkansas. Tmmy enlisted in the United States Navy in 1956.

Cynthia Louise Cox Drollinger, 75, died on Aug. 16, 2022, after a five-year battle with ovarian cancer in Mesa, Arizona, leaving her family and earthly home to continue her journey in Heaven. She began her life in Sunnyside, Washington, on June 26, 1947. Her parents Vern L. and Frances Louise Fielding Cox, shortly thereafter moved to Moses Lake, followed by several years in Warden, Washington. She graduated from Warden High School in 1965 where she was active in school as a head cheerleader and homecoming queen. Cindy attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. Shortly after she met Lonnie Jay Drollinger they married on April 2, 1966. Sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Betty Jane Kulm
Betty Jane Kulm passed away at Orchard Crest Retirement Community on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, in Spokane, Washington at the age of 96. She was born on Nov. 5, 1926, in Libby, Montana. She was one of four children and lived there for 10 years. Her family moved to Eastern Washington where they lived in Waverly, Sprague and Lind, Washington. Following high school she worked at Spokane Air Technical Service Command (now Fairchild AFB) for two years as a mail clerk. She returned to Lind in 1946 when she married Fred J. Kulm, a dryland wheat farmer. She loved the farm and living in the country. Moving to the farm was a new experience as she was without electricity, indoor plumbing and telephone service for the first four years. She resided there for 68 years.
Patrick Patterson
Patrick O. Patterson, 75, dedicated family man, community sponsor and exceptional musician passed away June 13, 2023. He had a passion for continuous learning and immersing himself in the educational process. Patrick’s entire life has been dedicated to teaching his children and grandchildren about music and engaging them in his many interests. As a longtime teacher of music, he taught at Big Bend Community College for 23 years. He enjoyed engaging his students in the passion of making and appreciating music, as well as helping to coordinate their success at the college. Patrick immersed himself in all things musical, and enjoyed the chaos of coordinating community events, participating in a variety of regional musical groups, and diving into his church music ministry.
