Robert Gene Moyer
Robert (Bob) Gene Moyer peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at his home. Bob was born to Otis and Helen Moyer on Dec. 21, 1944, in Ritzville, Washington. He was one of seven children. As a young man, he attended elementary school in Moses Lake and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1963. Bob went on to attend Eastern Washington University and Gonzaga University. He graduated from Gonzaga with a degree in electrical engineering. Bob joined the U.S. Army in August of 1966 and proudly served his country in Okinawa, Japan, and Thailand in Southeast Asia. He completed his military deployment and returned home in June of 1969. Bob worked for Swartz Electric in Moses Lake for a time, then moved to Homer, Alaska where he worked for Homer Electric. In 1976 he moved back to Moses Lake and opened Moyer Electric and Engineering. He worked as a local electrical contractor until he retired in 2007 at the age of 62.
