Narcan vending machine has long path to installation, cancellation
MOSES LAKE – North Central Washington Libraries staff said they were surprised by Moses Lake City Council’s actions requiring the removal of the Narcan vending machine from the Moses Lake Public Library in late March. NCW Deputy Director for Public Services Kim Neher said the machine being installed wasn’t an initiative spearheaded by the library district, but rather something the city had approached them about.

MOSES LAKE – Tex isn’t sure why anyone would let him hang out in a shelter for too long, after all, as the headline says, “Just look at that face.” However, he’s been at Grant County Animal Outreach since March 20 and he’d dearly love to go home with someone and snuggle them until everything in the world seems right. He’s roughly two-and-a-half years old and an American blue heeler mix. Like all of his fellow residents at GCAO, he is up to date on all of his shots, is neutered/spayed and is ready to be someone’s best friend. MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake High School senior Llayleni Fuentes has dreamed of staging “Steel Magnolias,” and now she has her chance. “I've been wanting to do the show for the last two years,” Fuentes said. “I asked (MLHS drama teacher Sharon Winningham), what's a really good play for all girls? Because what I've noticed is, there's a lot of men-heavy plays.”

QUINCY – The Quincy Jackrabbits soccer team earned a 9-0 victory over Tonasket during their senior night Tuesday. “Honestly, it’s just kind of crazy,” said Jacks’ senior Kasey Toevs. “I felt like not that long ago, I was a freshman watching all my seniors play and I feel like it just went by so quick.”

MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Mavericks Girls Golf team finished fourth overall Tuesday afternoon in their league tournament at Moses Lake Golf and Country Club. “All in all, I thought the girls did pretty good and I’m real proud of them,” said Mavs Girls golf coach Kevin Whittall.
