Mary Anne Cox
Mary Anne Cox, 78, Moses Lake, born, Nov. 16, 1930, in Avery’s Creek, N.C., went to be with the Lord on Oct. 13, 2008, at Samaritan Hospital. Mary was the third child born to John and Bessie Cox. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Mary spent her younger life in North Carolina, before moving to the Soap Lake-Quincy area. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Bessie Cox, brothers Marvin, William, and Rickey and sister Eva Mitchell.

Annabell Weisel vanSlyke Yager
Annabell Weisel vanSlyke Yager, 70, passed away Feb. 8 in Ephrata after an extended illness. Born Oct. 13, 1936 in Okanogan, Wash., she attended school in Orondo, East Wenatchee and Wenatchee, graduating in 1954. She married Donald Ray Yager in Oklahoma in 1958. Working as a bookkeeper and secretary, she retired from Independent Newspapers in Apache Junction, Ariz. She and her husband owned a heating and air conditioning company in Wenatchee. They traveled extensively for a number of years, creating hand crafted leatherwork items which were shown at arts and craft shows over the western United States. Residing in Arizona for 20 years, they owned Day's leathers and Such, specializing in saddles for special needs. The last few years, Ann worked with the Cancer Survivors groups in Ephrata and Moses Lake.

Sue Yamamoto Matsumura
Sue Yamamoto Matsumura, 94, of Grandview, WA passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Grandview, WA. She was born on December 17, 1917 in Sugar City, Idaho the daughter of Makino (Kawamoto) and Sagitaro Yamamoto. Her youth was spent in Wapato, WA where Sue graduated from Wapato High School in 1935. On January 30, 1938 she married Kiyoshi Matsumura in Wapato. Following WWII, Sue moved to Moses Lake where she raised her family. She continued to live in Moses Lake, WA until 2000, when Sue moved to the lower valley. She enjoyed bowling, and attending Nisei Women's Club.

Kelsey Golden Brown passed away May 12 after a skiing accident in Reno, Nev. Born October 5, 1978 in Provo, Utah, he is the fourth child of Dr. Doyle and Jeanne Brown. He was a graduate of Moses Lake High School, Big Bend Community College and received his bachelors degree in psychology from Boise State University. From 1998 to2000, he served a mission to the Netherlands for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Skiing was his life's passion, and he was happiest at the top of a snow-covered peak. Kelsey's bright smile, quick wit, and infectious laugh brought many wonderful friends into his circle. His zeal for life served as an inspiration to those who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
