Virginia Johnson-Krupa
Virginia Emilie Johnson-Krupa (Ginny), 68, was called home by her Lord on March 29, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Feb. 10, 1955, to Robert and Barbara (Hafner) Johnson in Davenport, Iowa. Her father was an army chaplain and she talked about being an army brat and the many places that they lived: Moline and Rock Island, Illinois; Jamestown, New York; Everett, Maine; East Hampton, Connecticut; Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Tacoma, Washington; and Nurnberg, Germany, where she graduated high school from the Nurnberg American School in 1973. After high school, she returned to Washington to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pacific Lutheran University in 1977. She continued her education at Lutheran Bible Institute from 1978 to 1980, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biblical studies while working at Augsburg Publishing House. She began her seminary studies in 1990 at the Vancouver School of Theology in Vancouver, British Columbia. She did her internship at Cambridge Lutheran Church in Cambridge, Minnesota and received her Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1995. She was ordained in 1995.

Jonathan Lee McDowell
March 15, 1971 — Nov. 12, 2023
Jonathan, 52, was born in Moses Lake, Washington to John and Joyce McDowell, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Moses Lake, Washington, and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1989. In June 1991 he enlisted in the Navy where he served on the USS Independence and the USS Bunker Hill with an honorable discharge in December 1995. After the Navy he went to Central Washington University and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in law and justice. He decided on the career of food and beverage, and began his career with The Moses Lake Golf and Country Club, then at the Walla Walla Country Club, and went on to become the director of food and beverage at Campbell’s Resort in Chelan, Washington.

Stephen Edward McFarland
Stephen Edward McFarland (Steve or Mac to his many friends) made his way to the Lord on March 22, 2007. After a long and bravely fought battle with renal cell cancer, Steve quietly passed away at home in Moses Lake while surrounded by his close friends and family.
Cherae Krueger
Cherae Krueger lived a happy life. She was born on June 15 1977 in Ephrata, WA. She was raised by 2 great parents Judith and Charles Clark in Moses Lake, WA and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1995. Cherae went to Eastern Washington University for college. She was married to her husband (Myron Krueger) on July 12 1997. They became best of friends through their marriage. On October 30, 2000 they welcomed an amazing daughter into their lives. As time went by, Cherae gathered many close friends and family.
