Constantine (Whitey) Fomenko

Constantine (Whitey) Fomenko was born March 20, 1931 and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Oct. 30, 2018.

Whitey was born in Russia and moved to the Middle East with his family when he was a young adult. He met his future wife Luba while working for the Getty Oil Company as an exploratory diver. They were married May 12, 1956 and moved to Australia within the next three years. Whitey moved the family to California in 1964 where he worked for AVCO Financial as a computer analyst.

Whitey and Luba retired to Moses Lake, Wash. in 1995. Whitey was a member of First Baptist Church in Moses Lake and was very involved, serving on committees and as a deacon.

Whitey is survived by his wife Luba, his son Andy and wife Lavern Fomenko, his daughter Valentine and husband Tim Waldon and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 724 Fourth Ave. Moses Lake, Wash.
