SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Alfonso Plummer scored 21 points, Timmy Allen added 14, and Utah used an 18-0 run midway through the second half to pull away for a 76-62 win over Washington on Thursday in the Pac-12 Conference opener for both schools.

William R. Shay passed away on April 7 at the age of 82. He is survived by wife Grace, one brother Roger and wife Pat from Georgia, daughter Sharon from Minneapolis, and sons Mike, his wife Deb from Ephrata and Bill, his wife Becky from Moses Lake. Other survivors include grandchildren Mike, Tanya, Tom, Chris, and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by mother Beatrice, dad William, brothers Richard and Allen.

PRIEST RAPIDS DAM — A trailer full of apples that went for a swim upstream from Priest Rapids Dam left the Washington State Patrol, the Grant County PUD and the truck’s owners with a dilemma. The trailer amok was still stuck Tuesday afternoon.

Saxon Fleming, 85 years old of Royal City, Washington passed away December 4, 2015 at his vacation home in Yuma, Arizona. He was born February 21, 1930 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Sunnyside, Washington where he married Arlene Allen on November 8, 1950. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with take out from Jack in The Box. They soon moved to the Columbia Basin Washington where they started farming in 1954 and moved to Royal City in 1961.

Longtime Moses Lake resident Elizabeth (Betty) Holben passed away peacefully on December 9 at the age of 98. She is survived by five children: Cynthia Holben, Sylvia Allen, Kirk Holben, Bruce Holben, and Katherine Hogan. Her husband Melvin and son Marcus preceded her in death. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
