MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — In a story June 25, 2020, about funding for a Minneapolis Police Department proposal to track problematic behavior by officers, The Associated Press erroneously reported that several activists critical of a former mayor’s involvement also favor dismantling the police department. The activists and their groups, including Communities United Against Police Brutality, have not called for dismantling the department. They have instead proposed a set of police reforms they say can more quickly address policing issues.
