WARDEN — Five-year-old Juan Vela Jr. sat on the curb with his head down after the Warden Community Days parade Monday morning. The young boy had arrived at the parade too late and missed out on a lot of free candy. As people were leaving the parade, much to Juan’s surprise, a passerby put a grocery bag full of candy in his lap and simply walked away without saying a word or glancing back to see the boy’s bewildered reaction.

City of Moses Lake Notice of Application and Public Hearing The Lakes Mobile Home Park LLC submitted an application for a Conditional Use Permit on July 25, 2017. The application was determined to be substantially complete and ready for review on August 21, 2017. The project location is The Lakes Manufactured Home Park, 1701 E. Burr Avenue. The proposal is to develop the remaining uncompleted portion of the existing mobile home park by adding 31 double-wide manufactured home spaces. Private streets and utilities will be extended to serve the additional spaces. MOSES LAKE — Joe Rogers loved Moses Lake and was a key player in the development in many of the city’s most popular trails. The city will now be paying tribute to Rogers, who passed away in 2015, and his dedication to trails in Moses Lake and Grant County by dedicating a section of an existing trail to him and his endearing memory.
