Darrell Kenneth Adolphsen, 71, passed away on Feb. 24, 2023, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington, after a brief illness. Born in Portland, Oregon on Jan. 21, 1952, to Gordon and Marcella Adolphsen, he was the youngest of three children. Darrell grew up and attended school in Moses Lake, Washington. In 1970 he married Coral Smith. They had two children, Angelete (Friedbauer) and Boe Adolphsen. From May 1979 to 1999, he was married to Kim Morlan (Johnson). Darrell worked at Chief Moses Middle School, and more recently at Longview Elementary as a custodian, where the students adored him. He was well known for his bottomless pockets of Life Savers. He retired from the school district in 2020.
