International aviation conference sets 5% carbon reduction goal
MONTREAL, Canada – Governments attending the Third ICAO Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels (CAAF/3) from Nov. 20-24 in Dubai, set a goal that aviation fuel in 2030 be 5% less carbon intensive than current fuels by 2030, according to a Monday announcement from Airports Council International.
Corrections officer sentenced to 60 months for drug charges
RICHLAND – United States District Judge Mary K. Dimke sentenced Leticia Rodriguez, 44, to 60 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine, according to a Monday announcement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

MOSES LAKE — In 2024 the Moses Lake Alumni Association, founded in 2007, completed 18 years of activity, during which it awarded college scholarships totaling $265,000 to 240 recipients.
