Correction: Obit-Herb Adderley story

In a story Oct. 30, 2020, about the death of former NFL player Herb Adderley, The Associated Press erroneously reported the number of times he was named an All-Pro. It was five times (1962, 1963, 1965, 1966, 1969), not seven. In addition, the story should have made clear that Adderley led the NFL in interceptions by yards in 1965 and 1969, not by the number of interceptions.

Becky Jane Wilkins-Carter, our beloved Nana, went home to dance with the angels on Nov. 26, 2016 surrounded by the love of her children, family, and lifelong friends. She was born into this world on March 7, 1943 in Berkeley, Calif. to her adoring parents Martha and Harry Willett. The family spent a good amount of time living in various places around the Northwest before she met and married her first love, Kenneth Wilkins, on Dec. 12, 1959. Together they traveled and moved in pursuit of Kenny’s career advancement with the navy and then later into law enforcement. This brought the young couple to settle into Royal City, Wash. in 1973 where Kenny took the position of Deputy Sheriff with the Grant County Sheriff’s Department. They settled into the simple life and welcomed three beautiful children together: Mark, Melisa, and Shane. Becky and Kenny spent 31 wonderful years together before his sad passing in March of 1990.
