The Fishin' Magician: Dave Graybill
Steelhead fishing is open on a couple of our area streams and the main stem Columbia within certain boundaries. One of the most popular methods of taking steelhead is with a bobber and jig. There are many good bank fishing locations to fish with this method and many anglers fish this way from a boat.

ISIS is targeting America
This isn’t the end of ISIS attacking our nation and putting Americans at risk. How are they getting past our security? Who’s hiding these terrorists in Brussels? How many more innocent people have to die?
Homeless problem goes deeper than just shelter
The homeless tents in our parks have alerted us to a problem that was hidden prior to the Ninth Circuit Court decision asking for communities to either build shelters or allow homeless access to public spaces. To me, this access could include trash pick-up, open toilet facilities where they exist, and police surveillance for illegal activities until monies for a shelter in our county can be arranged by charitable donations, grants and fund-raising. A shelter should be our ultimate goal but homelessness is a symptom and solving it does not provide a solution to the causes of homelessness. A single disaster makes all of us vulnerable. (California fires?) Please educate yourself. Next year it could be you in that tent.
Pet of the Week: Mack
My name is Mack and I'm a little over 1 ½ years old and came to Grant County Animal Outreach as a stray. I'm about 45-55 pounds and am a very excitable young dog! I am learning how to play with other dogs and slowly learning how to respect their boundaries, but I don't think I can handle being around a cat. I tend to be pretty shy and leery of strangers but am very affectionate with people I know and am ALWAYS ready to chase a ball! I'm ready for a patient home willing to give me a second chance at a happy life. Call (509) 762-9616 if you have any more questions!

Time to take a stand against racism
What more has to happen? Wake up, American people. So much violence and racism is going on all over the world. How many lives have to be taken? You have a president who defends the KKK neo-Nazi white supremacy. You condemn Muslims and immigrants, you state that gang members are a threat like MS13. How are these racist groups any different from what happened in Charlottesville?
