Financial fraud protection seminar for seniors June 21

MOSES LAKE — Financial fraud against senior citizens, how they detect it and protect themselves from it, will be the subject of a seminar at 1:30 p.m. June 21 on the fourth floor of Samaritan Hospital, 801 East Wheeler Rd. The seminar is free.

Eric Moss will be the speaker. Moss works for the consumer protection bureau of the Washington Attorney General’s office.

Moss will talk about the most common scams facing seniors, how seniors can spot fake charities, how to protect themselves against contractor and repair service fraud. Seniors, their families and friends, will get tips on how to respond if they think they or someone they know is a victim of fraud.
