Mavs softball team dominates in doubleheader vs. Cadets
MOSES LAKE – On Friday, the Moses Lake Mavericks (6-2) softball team dominated at home against the visiting Eisenhower Cats (2-4), winning the doubleheader 20-0 and 14-1.
Huskies fall in Thursday match against Selah
OTHELLO – The Othello Huskies boys soccer team was defeated Thursday by the Selah Vikings in a dominant 5–0 loss. The loss came after a big 2-0 win over East Valley (Yakima) on Tuesday, which had the Huskies coming in on a high note.

Tigers maintain success on the court
EPHRATA – The Ephrata Tigers (7-0) boys tennis team took care of business on the road against the Ellensburg Bulldogs (4-4), winning 4-1 and keeping their undefeated season alive. With dominant performances from Josh Mullin’s singles win and a doubles victory from Charles Flynn and Jacob Wolther, this team was a unified front.

WARDEN – The Warden Cougars lost in a hard-fought game against Connell 3-0 Tuesday night. “It was a good game in the first half; starting the second half it looks like we started to lose the ball,” said Cougars Coach Rafael Elizarraraz. The Cougars only had an 11-man squad Tuesday, which meant players had no substitutes and had to play the entire the game without breaks, said the coach.

Everything that we put forward as a public health agency is impacting our own families and lives. We’re also living it.”

SPOKANE – On Tuesday, April 1, Washington State University (10-18) baseball made a comeback late in the game after being down 5-0 against Gonzaga (12-14) to win 7-6. The comeback was topped off with a two-run single executed by Ricco Longo in the tenth inning according to a statement from WSU Athletics.

MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Mavericks Softball team came out on top in their game against Southridge Monday evening winning 11-1. “What stood out to me was everybody contributed,” said Mavs coach Mike Hofheins. “That’s always super rewarding when everybody is a part of the win, and it doesn’t feel like you’re being carried by just one person or two people.”

The suspects, an unnamed 14-year-old from Mattawa, Jose Beltran-Rodriguez, 20 of Moses Lake, and Mathew Valdez, 18, Moses Lake are all now in law enforcement custody.

Ephrata, Quincy, Othello, Moses Lake Christian Academy and Royal all sent strong contingents to compete, but it was the Ephrata athletes who dominated many events.
