Law enforcement logs for April 4, 2025
The reports below were provided by the sheriff's office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Ephrata PD
March 27
Report of possible cold assault. Reporting party said female subject pushed the reporting party while at work. Reporting party also informed manager.
Report of two juveniles playing near the canal below Patrick Park. Juvenile went down the cement bank near the water. Juvenile contacted and talked to about the dangers of canal.
Report of theft at business on Nat Washington Way. Suspect came into the store and left through a fire emergency exit with a bicycle. Reporting party showed video of male subject going through store and out the back. Reporting party was able to get picture of his face. Suspect unknown at this time.
March 28
Report of Great Dane dog inside the fenced area of the hospital. The dog was growling when officers approached. The fence was opened and the dog left. The owners advised the dog made it home.
March 29
Report of vehicle failing to yield left turn. Driver admitted to drinking alcohol. Driver arrested for DUI and processed without incident.
Report of subject entering reporting party’s garage without permission. Upon arrival, subject located in garage. Subject taken into custody and booked for first-degree trespassing.
Report of merchandise pushout that occurred on March 23. Reporting party found out today. Video sent to Ephrata PD. Loss estimated at $72; unknown suspect.
March 30
Report of vehicle driving erratically with person jumpig out of it and running around. Female from vehicle last seen running around.
Report of Ephrata PD assisting Grant County Sheriff’s Office with erratic vehicle. Located vehicle and stopped it. Driver not DUI.
Report of road rage with a firearm displayed. Area checked and gone upon police arrival. Reporting party did not want to pursue charges.
March 31
Report of cold burglary on Pioneer Avenue. Reporting party said the home is vacant because of flooding. Unknown suspects broke in through the back door. Unknown if anything is missing.
Report of assault in the 1200 block of Cottage Street Southeast. Female suspect identified as primary aggressor. Report to be filed with Grant County Prosecutors Office for fourth-degree assault.
April 1
Report of domestic dispute. Dispatch said male subject was breaking items inside the home. Reporting party said the male subject was upset due to discovering the reporting party had cheated on the male subject. Male subject placed in custody for second-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence.
Report of missing person at Ephrata High School. Juvenile female left school on March 31 with a possible boyfriend from the Mattawa area. Report taken. Contacted Royal City High School and obtained possible name for the boyfriend. Boyfriend contacted in Mattawa and located juvenile female. Police transported juvenile female home.
April 2
Report of theft. Reporting party said someone from Florida did four transactions and took a little less than $1,000 from the reporting party’s bank account. Reporting party said there was a number associated with the transactions but the phone number did not work.
Moses Lake PD
April 1
Report of MLPD assisting Washington State Patrol with a road rage incident where suspect displayed a firearm. A suspect vehicle was later located following reporting party again and stopped. Driver was taken into custody and booked for second-degree assault and weapons capable. Vehicle was towed.
Report of Moses Lake District Court calling for an officer. Police spoke with multiple witnesses who said a male was unhappy with his court decision became upset and slammed the door causing the window to break. Police took photos of the window and collected statements.
Report of subject stealing multiple items without paying and fleeing business on North Stratford Road. Reporting party asked for suspect to be trespassed and charged for theft.
Report of male pushing shopping cart out full of items and loading them into a red vehicle with no plates on North Stratford Road. Reporting party took a photo of the suspect vehicle. Contact was made with store manager who said he would contact asset protection about the incident.
Report of suspect walking out of business on South Wanapum Drive with a $50 blanket. Reporting party asked for suspect to be trespassed when identified.
Report of license stolen several days ago during a vehicle prowl. The reporting party wanted to report it in case is ID was used fraudulently.
Report of traffic collision in the intersection of Third Avenue and Balsam Street. Vehicle one pulled out in front of vehicle two without yielding. The driver of vehicle one was evaluated for head injury but declined transport to the hospital. Both vehicles towed from scene.
Report of three vehicle collision at Kittelson and Highway 17. Washington State Patrol handled the collision.
Report of female stealing at business on North Stratford Road. MLPD confronted the female and she admitted to stealing the items. She was transported to Grant County Jail. Suspect was also previously permanently trespassed from the business.
Report of cold theft from business on North Stratford Road. Reporting party to provide video of suspects. Charges to be filed if suspects identified.
April 2
Report of unknown female taking several health and beauty items from business on South Pioneer Way. The suspect was seen fleeing from the store. Report to follow if suspect is identified.
Report of theft at business on North Stratford Road. The suspect had a felony parole warrant out of Alaska for violation of a manslaughter charge. The suspect was transported to Grant County Jail and booked on the warrant with additional criminal charges.
Stolen items were located during execution of a search warrant on East Kittelson Road.
Report of traffic collision near Cedar Street. Collision occurred at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Beech Street. Vehicle one was making a left turn and merged into the outside lane without yielding to vehicle two. No injuries reported. No vehicles towed from scene.
Report of theft from business on North Stratford Road. Female was contacted by loss prevention. Due to other calls police did not make contact with female. Loss prevention said female was trespassed and charges to be filed.
Report of two subjects filling cart at business on East Yonezawa Boulevard and leaving without paying. Employee provided photographs of the two subjects and police checked the area.
April 3
Report of three subjects trespassing and burning pallets by the power boxes on a property on North Stratford Road. MLPD made contact and realized two of the suspects had been previously trespassed.
