Clifford (Nick) Nicholas passed away on Oct. 5, 2022, at the age of 76 in Seattle, Washington. He received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, his health, which he has not seen in a long time. If you asked a hundred people who Nick was, they’d all give you a different story. A skier. A cowboy. The service mechanic. An animal lover. The world’s oldest kid. A father. An athlete. A Winter Olympics enthusiast. An outdoorsman.

Vernon Leroy Little

It is with great sadness that the family of Vernon Leroy Little announces his passing. Vernon passed away suddenly on the evening of Sept. 2, 2022, at his home. He was 77 years old. Vernon was born Nov. 1, 1944, in Brush, Colorado to Everett Leroy Little and Mary Jane (Massengale) Little. The family moved to Moses Lake, Washington from Kennewick, Washington in 1958. Vern attended Frontier and graduated from the Moses Lake High School in 1963. He attended Big Bend Community College and went to work at Basic American Foods where he worked for over 28 years before becoming a bus driver and later a bus mechanic for the Moses Lake School District, after which he retired. He was an avid fan of football, hunting, fishing, camping and racing. In his younger years he raced at the Ephrata Speedway in Car No. 44. He passed his love of racing onto his oldest nephew who continued his legacy in Car No. 44 and enjoyed being part of his nephew's pit crew.

James ‘Mel’ Bradley

James “Mel” Bradley, 83, an unwavering pillar of love for his family and friends, passed away in his home of over 40 years on Sunday, his wife with him in his final Earthly moments. The oldest son of James and Marie Bradley, Mel was born August 24, 1939, and worked from an early age to support his family. He took on his role as oldest son with fortitude, dedicated to the happiness and well-being of his parents and siblings alike. When Mel was a kid, the family moved from Arkansas to California where he would eventually meet Barbara Mendenhall, who became his wife in 1959. With Barbara and a new daughter in tow, Mel moved to Washington in 1962 and made their home in Moses Lake. Their son, born five years later, completed the family unit. The life Mel built with Barbara was a full one, filled with fishing, camping trips, and careers in truck driving and, later, motorcycle mechanics. Throughout his life, he remained dedicated to his family as it expanded to include much-loved sisters- and brothers-in-law and eight nieces and nephews. He was an unwavering family man.
