Taters take center stage in Olympia
Staff and commissioners from the Washington State Potato Commission serve up some spuds on Feb. 18 for Potato Day in Olympia. The annual event gives potato farmers a chance to talk about the industry with legislators.

About 1,600 baked potatoes were served in Olympia and enjoyed by visitors to the capital for Potato Day 2025.

OLYMPIA – The Washington State Potato Commission served about 1,600 baked potatoes last Tuesday. The commission sponsors the annual event and brings farmers, legislators and other stakeholders in the potato industry to Olympia to discuss the challenges and opportunities present in the potato industry.
