Birding adventure
The Central Basin Audubon Society will be hosting a bird watching event at Sun Lakes State Park at 8:15 a.m. this Saturday. To make the most of this experience participants are encouraged to bring along essential items: a Discover Pass, binoculars, snacks and water, chair and most importantly a cup of coffee to sip on.

At Sun Lakes State Park this Saturday at 8:15 a.m. the Central Basin Audubon Society will be hosting a bird watching event. All are welcome to attend no matter age, mobility or experience with birding. There will be opportunities for new bird watchers to learn from experienced members of the Audubon Society. For those who may struggle with mobility, there is the option to set up a chair and watch the birds without taking a hike.
Field Trip Chair for the Central Basin Audubon Society Margaret Heming said she is most excited to see a golden eagle. Last year when they held the event, she said they went too early in the season and all they saw was a nest but this year they planned the event a little bit later into the season. She said she is optimistic that attendees will have the opportunity to see a golden eagle.
