Basin residents protest Trump policies in Ephrata
Protesters stand in front of Sun Basin Plaza in downtown Ephrata Saturday. Many of them held signs protesting potential or official cuts to programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Affairs and other government services.

Many of the protesters at the Saturday event held flags or other patriotic items, but also held signs expressing concerns about President Donald Trump’s handling of the downsizing of government agencies and the economy. Several were critical of Special Advisor Elon Musk’s oversight of the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.
EPHRATA — A group of between 75 and 80 people gathered in front of Sun Basin Plaza in downtown Ephrata on Saturday from a little before 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. to protest policies put forth by the Donald Trump administration.
