The Washington Department of Ecology released this map which indicates that the majority of the state has a drought advisory while the areas highlighted in gold face true emergency drought conditions. UNION GAP — A dozen counties in Washington state on both sides of the Cascades are facing drought conditions this year, according to a drought declaration from the Department of Ecology, causing strains on agriculture and day-to-day living.
