MLPD takes win in the Battle of the Badge
The Moses Lake Police Department won the Battle of the Badge on Wednesday, defeating the Grant County Sheriff’s Office 21-19.

The slowpitch softball game was played on a reduced field, and allowed runners to sub in for hitters who got on base.
Between innings, spectators could participate in events like a relay in police gear.

“It’s great to have it back, this is fantastic,” MLPD Chief Kevin Fuhr said. “We’ve got a whole bunch of community members here, they’ve been waiting for years for this to get back, and here we are.”
A K-9 demonstration was put on toward the end of the game, with an officer present to make sure it was performed safely.
