Moses Lake Carl’s Jr. allegedly robbed by armed men
MOSES LAKE — Two female Carl’s Jr. employees are okay, if a bit shaken, after two men armed with a pistol allegedly robbed the restaurant at 1765 Kittelson Road in Moses Lake at about 10 p.m. Sunday.
“(The two staff) were in the back area, cleaning and prepping for the next day. Two males then entered the front lobby area and proceeded past the registers and to the back where the ladies were. One of the employees observed the males coming back and alerted the other employee, who first I thought it was a prank, that it could have been a friend or another employee playing a joke,” said Moses Lake Police Department Sgt. Kyle McCain.
McCain said the seriousness of the situation became apparent when one of the men showed a pistol he had tucked into his belt. The men then forced the two employees to lie down on the floor. The armed individual gathered money from one of the registers that had not yet been counted.
The suspects asked for the combination to access the safe, but the employees refused to provide it. The two men then ran out the back door on foot. Both were wearing masks and no description of them is available, McCain said.
Anyone with further information can contact the Moses Lake Police Department’s non-emergency line at 509-764-3887, McCain said.
