Kathleen Louise Moore Mason
Kathleen Louise Moore Mason, age 70, of Royal City, WA. passed away on March 13, 2014 surrounded by her family at her home in Royal City. Kathleen was born to Ernest and Catherine (Harris) Moore on February 20, 1944 in Sunnyside, WA., the seventh of fifteen children. She had a wonderful childhood, with lots of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and neighborhood children to play and fight with. Since there wasn't much money during Kathleen's childhood, the family became innovative in ways to have fun. Kathleen had many fond memories of attending school, participating in the 4-H Club, attending and singing in the Methodist Church choir, under the direction of Lily Jeffords. She also recalls the hard work that had to be done on the family farm.

Father Gary Norman, a senior priest of the Diocese of Yakima, who was being treated at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center following an auto accident and subsequent stroke Jan. 22, died Jan. 31, 2024, at the medical center. Diabetes and heart trouble contributed to his death. He was 79 and had been living in Prescott, Ariz., since his retirement in 2014, helping occasionally in the local Catholic parish and preaching in parishes throughout the United States, on behalf of the organization Food for the Poor.

Hannah Corinne Whiting, known affectionately by her middle name Corinne, was born on October 19, 1931, in Spanish Fork, UT. On December 10, 2023, at the age of 92, she returned to her Heavenly Father, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication. Corinne, a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, served in numerous capacities within the church, including Young Women’s President, Primary President, Relief Society President, and Home Making Leader.
William “Bill” Englar, Jr.

William "Bill" J. Englar, Jr. was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, and passed away on Aug. 6, 2022, in his adopted state of Montana. Bill loved potatoes and his family, enjoying both for over 90 years. He graduated from Michigan State College earning his degree in food science and entered the U.S. Air Force from the ROTC program. He was honorably discharged at the rank of captain. Bill married Florence "Flo" Shaw in 1959 beginning their life together in Idaho Falls, Idaho where their four children, Terri (Rick) Moncada, Eileen (Roger) Martinez, Cheryl (Alan) Coulter and Jim (Tiffany) Englar were born. The potato industry lured the Englar family to Moses Lake in 1972 where he worked and lived until retirement. He loved working as a food scientist, but he also enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing, boating, snowmobile riding and so much more. Travel was an important part, whether by station wagon, train or plane across the country to visit family or overseas for work or pleasure with his favorite trip being to Ireland.

Jolene Maree Geiss, beloved mother, and grandmother, passed away on July 9, 2023, at the age of 66. Jolene was born in Hardin, Montana on Aug. 18, 1956, to Cecilia “Cee Cee” and Joseph Geiss. Jolene was raised in the Yakima Valley and Selah, Washington. She graduated from Selah High School in 1975. After graduation Jolene found her passion for photography and worked in the industry for many years, first at Ken Whitmire and Associates and later for Stephen K. Wolfe Photography. Jolene was also an avid University of Washington Husky fan, and you knew that by looking at her car or simply going into her home. She also loved to wear a lot of “bling bling” and naturally got that from her mother, Cee Cee.
