Barbara Jean Sircin, 78, a resident of Moses Lake since 1958, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Samaritan Hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Kayser's Chapel in Moses Lake. Interment will follow at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Opal Schwab, 86 years old, passed away on February 4, 2013 at the family farm. Born on June 20, 1926 to Bernice and Glenn Bass, in Henning Minnesota, and grew up in Olney Illinois. She completed her high school degree in 2 years and graduated from Moses Lake High School.

MOSES LAKE - Washington State Department of Agriculture officials released Juergens Brothers Dairy's name on Thursday as being the operation where a case of bovine TB is suspected.

Betty Jean McCullough McKay, 86, of Othello, WA, danced her way into heaven on January 21, 2013, at home with her children by her side. Betty was born May 10, 1926, in Idaho Falls, ID, to Irish immigrants Martin & Virginia (Simpkins) McCullough.
Joe Max Kurkowski
Joe Max Kurkowski, 91, entered into rest January 17, 2013 in Moses Lake. He was born August 6, 1921 in Watauga, South Dakota. He was the fifth of 9 brothers and 3 sisters. As a young man he went to school on horseback with some of his siblings and worked on the farm. In 1936 the family moved to Minnesota to farm and raise cattle.
