Debora Deana Bailey
On Friday, May 30, 2014 at 9:00 pm, Debora Deana Bailey (age 59) was called home to meet the most amazing artist of all. Her educational level was not one, which offers a degree or certificate, but one of life's tough lessons learned. She was a single mother, who raised one daughter on her own, through life's troubles, tribulations, as well as through laughter, and many enjoyments. She was very much a creature of God. She thoroughly loved and thrived in nature. She was amazing in every aspect of art. Some call art a hobby, for her art was her very essence of survival, as important as breathing is to any living creature. She talked, read, listened, wrote, breathed, and survived through her art. Her amazing, artistic talents consisted of music, painting, ceramics, assemblages, writing of all kinds, and so many more talents in the arts, that words could never describe (except maybe in her own words). She truly was a child of God with the most amazing spirit. She was eccentric and vibrant, right up until her last breath. She lingers in the memory of anyone who was blessed to have met her, and completely unforgettable to those who knew her. On her journey to the grandest art studio in the heavens, she was blessed with a family she could not take with her. Debora left behind to carry on her talents and memories; her only daughter - Shawna Lynne Marr, her son in-law - Robert James Marr, and five grandchildren; Shawna's two daughter's and one son - Kyla Lynne Moore, Christian Wayne Moore, and Trinity Aron Hamel-Moore, as well as Roberts two Sons; Donald (Bobby) Robert-James Marr and Tanner Aaron-David Marr, and one very special feathered friend; her female parakeet Oliver (all residing in Moses Lake, WA). She is also survived by one brother; Raymond, and two step-sisters; Anna and Leah (their whereabouts is unknown). Mommy, you will be dearly missed and loved throughout eternity. With every found object, every yellow rose, every number five, every Meat Loaf Song, every star shower, every holiday, every elephant, every cow and with every breath I take I will carry on your lesson taught to me to our children; and with every piece of art I create, I will feel your presence with me, if only for a fleeting second. ~ Shawna (Boo Boo)

Academy Awards, ADVISORY
“1917” sprints into Sunday’s Academy Awards with some momentum, but will “Parasite” infect the Oscars instead? Or could “Joker” get the last laugh? The Associated Press plans comprehensive coverage of Sunday’s ceremony, starting with the red carpet fashion and continuing through the night’s awards and the crowning of the best picture winner. The runup to the ceremony has been marked by criticism of the lack of diversity among acting nominees, and the academy’s failure to nominate any women in the best director category. The show will go on for the second consecutive year without a host, and the AP will deliver all-formats coverage of the night’s big winners.
