As I pulled into the Columbia Basin Tech driveway, I was surprised to see so many people and cars. What’s going on? I parked and went in and took a seat at the board meeting. A few moments later, many people in red shirts streamed in. Well over a hundred. Ah – all the buzz was on point.

A dapper dude
Sammi, a professional business pup, is ready to be hired for the very important job of being the bestest boy. He does not have thumbs, so he was unable to type up a resume. However, he is known for being a sweet boy — look at those honey-colored eyes and you’ll see. In this role, he said he hopes to excel at chasing toys, eating treats, taking naps and accepting pets. He is a 6-year-old terrier mix who is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. If he seems like the perfect “hire” for you, visit GrantCountyAnimalOutreach.org and fill out his application. He would do it for you, but again, no thumbs. If you can’t adopt the hardest worker, but you would still like to help a local shelter, visit the website and click “donate.”

What we did was kind of both this weekend, and so we were able to get some people in different positions, get a lot of playing time for everybody, and also work on more of our serving and different defenses. All in all, they went three and one and they had a really good weekend,” Trammell said.
