NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS LAKESHORE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT - 2019 Moses Lake, Washington Sealed bids will be received at the Civic Center Annex, 321 South Balsam, (P. O. Box 1579), Moses Lake, Washington 98837 until MAY 22, 2019; 11:00 AM, for the above-named improvement. Said bids will be opened and publicly read at that time. All bids shall be received before said opening time in sealed envelopes with LAKESHORE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT - 2019 marked plainly thereon. All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract or furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City. Plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost via electronic transmission from the City of Moses Lake. Paper copies of the plans and specifications may also be obtained from the Civic Center Annex at the above address for a non-refundable fee of $50. Plans and specifications can be requested by responding to this email, or by calling the Contact person listed below during normal business hours. Copies of plans and specifications are on file for review at various construction councils. The existing county style roadway with no curb and sidewalk will become a typical 33-foot wide city standard street with five foot sidewalk on one side and a ten foot concrete activity trail on the other side of the street with storm drainage infiltration galleries or drywells. Schedule B includes relocation of the existing Lakeshore Drive water main with a new 8-inch PVC water main, replacement of all water services, and replacement of the fire hydrants. Schedule C reconstructs 0.1 miles of Peterson Place from Lakeshore Drive to Peninsula Drive with five foot sidewalks on both sides.
