COLUMBIA BASIN — It was a busy weekend of wrestling tournaments across the Columbia Basin, with Lind-Ritzville/Sprague, Othello and Quincy all hosting tournaments on Saturday.

MOSES LAKE – On Friday, the Mavericks (7-0) defeated the Eastmont Wildcats 21-0 on the road. The Wildcats presented a tough challenge, but the Mavs responded when it mattered most.

MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian School Lions (5-2) football team proved their strength at home Thursday evening with a 52-0 victory over Pateros. This victory ties the team with Oroville for third in the Central Washington B conference.

MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Mavericks (9-6) defeated the Prosser Mustangs 3-1 at home Saturday. Head Coach Krystal Trammell said they went into the game remembering to have fun on the court.

EPHRATA - The primary election was held Tuesday in Washington state with statewide voter turnout at roughly 18.58% of the Evergreen state’s 4.4-plus million voters casting ballots. That amounts to a bit more than 822,000 votes cast.

MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Christian Academy/Christian Covenant School Lions volleyball team earned a 3-0 home win over the Soap Lake Eagles Tuesday evening. The Lions are now 6-3 overall, and the Eagles are 3-3.

The CEREC Primemill system, now in operation at the clinic in Moses Lake, allows patients to receive custom dental crowns in just one visit, according to the announcement.
Warden starts season with 32-13 win
WARDEN – The Warden Cougars football team started their season off strong with a 32-13 victory over Medical Lake as they push to solidify themselves as a top contender in the Eastern Washington Athletic Conference. “It was pretty good,” said Cougars running back Danny Martinez. “First half blocks were settling in kind of flaky, but by the second half they actually got good blocks they got a good hold and actually earned some yards.”
