Knights claim home victories over the weekend

ROYAL – The Royal Knights earned two victories at home over the weekend with the first being against the Wahluke Warriors on Friday and the second being against Cashmere on Saturday. “I think both nights we played pretty good defense,” said Knights Head Coach Tim Ravet. “The defense seems to be ahead of our offense as far as keeping guys in front and moving the ball.”

Ephrata SD moves forward on $75M bond election

EPHRATA – The Ephrata School District Facility Study Group proposed a $75 million bond to the Ephrata School Board Monday night. The board unanimously approved Superintendent Ken Murray to move forward with a bond resolution for the board to vote on. If passed by the board, the bond will appear on the Feb. 2026 ballot.

EPHRATA – The Ephrata Tigers (6-8) soccer season ended Tuesday evening in the second round of the Central Washington Athletic Conference against Ellensburg with a final score of 1-4. Tigers head coach Gary Klepec said it was a tough postseason matchup, but he is proud of how the team performed this season.

Sixers 14U come up short in Sunday action

ELLENSBURG – On Sunday, the Central Washington Sixers 14U baseball team were defeated in the championship round of the Clash of Kittitas tournament. They fell to the Spokane Expos with a final score of 8-11. Baseball is a game of inches, according to head coach Rey Lopez. “Really proud of the boys who worked really hard,” Lopez said. “It is disappointing as a coach, just because the time and the effort that the boys put in, and they were looking forward to going in and winning the championship game.”
