Linn M. Cooper
Age 84, went to sleep in death July 9, 2007, with his daughters by his side. Linn was born April 2, 1923, in Seattle, the fourth son of the late Charles and Cora Cooper. He grew up and worked most of his life on the same location where he was born. He and his brothers, Harold and Lister took over their father's service station business. He later began to work for the water department until the age of 78. In his high school years he was known as the athletic one of the family; being a four-letter man graduating from Foster High in the class of '41. He served in the Army during World War II; honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1945. In order to be closer to his daughters, he changed his residence in 2002 to Moses Lake. With his positive, cheerful attitude and good sense of humor, he was loved by all who knew him. Because of his great love of the outdoors, camping trips were a regular part of the family's vacations. He enjoyed traveling south where it was hot; especially to Yuma, Arizona and Death Valley. He was often heard to say "let's go for a ride." He was preceded in death by Gwen J. Cooper, the mother of his three daughters; his first born daughter, Linda S. Reynolds; his brothers, Harold and Laren; his sister-in-laws Jean Cooper and Doris Smith. He is survived and dearly missed by his daughter, Carol and husband Dave Hourie; daughter, Barbara Whidden, all of Moses Lake, Wash.; brother Lister and his wife Marie Cooper of Seattle; sister-in-law Eva Mae Cooper of Seattle; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; three nephews and three nieces and their families.
