On Sept. 20, 2007, Ruth went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ruth was born June 18, 1928, to Harry Andrew and Anna Marie (Duffin) DeVries in Leavenworth, Wash., and was raised in Portland, Ore.

Peggy (Crial-Morehouse) Wickwire, 81, of Soap Lake, and longtime Ephrata resident, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata.
Kenneth Eugene Benoschek
Kenneth Eugene Benoschek, age 69, a 20-year resident of Soap Lake, passed away at Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation Center-Moses Lake, Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beulah Clione Macrae-Benoschek and Henry H. Benoschek, an infant brother, and brother, Ronald E. "Bud," a DF&W mechanic. He is survived by nephews and nieces. At the Thurston County Fairgrounds, a Benoschek Building is named after the family. The ancestral Benoscheks immigrated in 1870 from Czechoslovakia, and can be found in Tumwater, Medical Lake, Spokane, and Edwall cemeteries. Ken was bom in Olympia, Wash., Sept.13,1938, and he graduated University of Washington and served in the National Guard. He retired in 1989 as the Head Accountant with Lone Star Cement. There will be no funeral and memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Benson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Marina Sergeyevna Zuyeva, 16, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Friday evening from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident near Moses Lake. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Church of Moses Lake with Petr Fendich officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Ephrata City Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

Viewing will be held at Benson's Funeral Home, 104 W. 5th Ave., Moses Lake on Thursday, from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Free Methodist Church 935 W. Valley Rd., Moses Lake. A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Ephrata Cemetery at 5 p.m. Sunday. Mildred Machell Nazworthy Bryant
Mildred Machell Nazworthy Bryant, "Missy," a loved and adored wife, mother, grandma, sister, friend and a mom to many, passed away in her home, surrounded by her loved ones, on Aug. 22, 2007, in Moses Lake. Missy was bom in Seattle, and lived most of her life in the Everett and Marysville area. She retired with her lifetime partner, Charles Bryant, in Moses Lake, with three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Husband Charles Bryant, four children, Joannie Alice Nazworthy, Brenda Sue Madison, James Ray Nazworthy and Tonya Latrice Bryant, 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and eight siblings survived Missy. She also was a mom and grandma to KaDesha Nazworthy, Keelyn Bryant, Adele Nazworthy, Tara Nazworthy and newly acquired great-grandson Tarance Nazworthy. Missy was also a great friend and a wonderful mother figure to many. She will be deeply missed, although she will always be in our hearts and looking over us. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at Benson's Funeral Home, 104 W 5th Avenue, Moses Lake, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. To honor her life, graveside funeral services will be held on Aug. 29, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Moses Lake Cemetery, 14403 Rd. 2 N.E. A reception will follow the service at 8527 Hillcrest Drive N.E., Moses Lake.

Christina Perez
Christina Perez, born June 27, 1971, to Carmel Perez Sr. and Graciela Noyola Perez went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007. Christina died of gastric cancer at Kadlec Hospital in Richland, Wash. Christina was a native of Moses Lake where she attended school and worked for most of her life. A daughter, Jasmine G. Pantoja, 14, and two sons, Javier C. Pantoja, 16, and Devin Thomas Deitrick, 7, survive her as well as her parents, two brothers, a sister, nieces, a nephew and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Visitation for Christina's friends and family will be at Benson Family Funeral Home at 5th and Division, Aug. 23, 2007, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and funeral services will be held at the LDS Stake Center, 1515 S. Division Street on Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Moses Lake Cemetery, 14403 Rd. 2 N.E., Moses Lake.

Myron B. Hussey, 85, passed away Aug. 13, 2007, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. Myron was a farmer and Quincy resident for 35 years.
