He attended school in Granger, Washington and there met the love of his life. He married Barbara Mae Fraser February 18, 1949 and they just celebrated their 62nd anniversary.

David T. Phillips was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 12, 1943 to Louis and Doris Phillips of Lehi, Utah. When he was 18 months old the family moved to Parma, Idaho to begin a family farm. As a youth he attended the Parma public schools, where he excelled in athletics. He played football, basketball, baseball, and wrestled. As a senior he received the Outstanding Athlete award. Upon graduation in 1962, he accepted a scholarship to play football at Ricks College, in southern Idaho.

Ruth was born on September 8, 1932 in Bozeman, Montana to Thomas Albert and Blanch Emmaline Cole Richey. She married Delbert Ray Billman on December 23, 1950 in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 24, 1971.

Clifford Giese, 80, of Spokane passed away June 8 after declining health during the last year. Clifford was born at the family farm near Ruff, Washington on September 4, 1930, the youngest child of eleven of August and Magdelena (Jeske) Giese. He attended school in Odessa, Washington. He was baptized on April 7, 1939 and became a full member of the English Congregational Church in Odessa on April 2, 1944.

William "Bill" George Briggs, 83, of Othello, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Othello Community Hospital. Bill, the eldest of six children, was born on May 15, 1928, to Marvin and Joyce (Elsberry) Briggs in Cando, N. D. At the age of six weeks he moved with his parents to Ashton, ID where his father had purchased the local newspaper. They later moved to St. Anthony, ID. Bill grew up delivering newspapers and helping in the family business. He graduated from St. Anthony High School, where he was president of the senior class.

Ronald, age 74, passed away May 27, 2011 at the Lake Ridge Solana Alzheimer's Care Center in Moses Lake, WA. Ronald was a gentle soul who was treasured by family and friends. He was born on November 20, 1936 to Oliver Arthur and Mabel Hosko Herger.

Henry Laurell Singleton passed away May 26, 2011. He was born December 31, 1938 in Eugene, Oregon. He went into the military in 1956, was trained to be a medic and went to Vietnam in 1959. He was wounded in 1963 and went to Japan to recover. In 1963 he went to Israel for schooling and ended up joining the Israeli army. In 1966 he moved to Seattle, Washington, started working for Boeing, and married Mary Wilson. They had three children: Dorothy, Madonna and Michael. In 1980 Henry started working for Green Acres Orchard in Mattawa, Washington and he retired in 2009 because of health reasons. He loved to operate equipment.

Lois Deane North of Ephrata, Washington left to be with her Lord and Saviour on May 21, 2011. Lois was born in Spokane, Washington to Earl and Alma Davis joining the family, which included one older sister, Beth. Deane, as she was called, had a serious illness in her childhood and spent approximately two years recovering, while her mother, who was a school teacher, assisted her in keeping up with her school work. She had to learn to walk again, but rebounded readily, spending most of her childhood summers in the woods, where her father owned a logging outfit and her mother was a camp cook. Deane and her sister fondly remember picking huckleberries, collecting honey, watching their father's team of horses pull the large logs and being spoiled by their father's team of rough loggers, who would lavish them with little trinkets they would purchase for the girls on pay day.

Eleanor Vera Mordhorst passed away May 9, 2011 at Regency Harbor Care in Oak Harbor, WA at the age of 94. She was born June 3, 1916 in Wilson Creek, WA to Harry and Rose Hirschel. Her mother passed away early in her life and she and her older brother were raised by her father and grandfather on the family farm near Wilson Creek. She told stories about helping with the farm work and driving teams of horses. Her aunts, Clara Mordhorst and Esther Dohrn, played a significant role as the female influences in her life.
