MOSES LAKE — Facility use, working to give children alternatives and opportunity, improving partnerships that help students looking at careers were discussed as areas of cooperation at a joint meeting of the Moses Lake City Council and Moses Lake School Board. Mayor Dustin Swartz said the advantages of cooperation extended beyond making it easier for city and district residents.

Fuel costs slightly down from last week

MOSES LAKE – Washington state, Grant County and Adams County all saw decreases in average prices for regular fuel this week. However, the national average for fuel saw a slight increase, according to AAA.

Eberle scores 2 goals as Kraken beat Oilers 3-2 to improve franchise's best start to 5-2-2

SEATTLE (AP) — Jordan Eberle scored two goals, both set up by Matty Beniers, and the Seattle Kraken beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 on Saturday night to continue the best start in franchise history. Tye Kartiye scored his first of the season as the Kraken improved to 5-2-2. In the past two games, Seattle has defeated last season’s President’s Trophy winner Winnipeg (3-0 on Thursday in Winnipeg) and now Stanley Cup runner-up Edmonton.

SNAP benefits uncertain after Nov. 1

New BBCC greenhouse expands Ag program for the Fall

Grant Co. homeless plan update draft released

EPHRATA — Grant County residents are being invited to review a draft update to the county’s plan to address homeless issues. Part of the information county officials collected for the update included a survey, which Grant County Commissioner Rob Jones said highlighted one of the problems of dealing with the issues surrounding homelessness.

BBCC enrollment for fall down from 2024

MOSES LAKE – During Big Bend Community College’s regular Board of Trustees meeting Thursday, it was shown that overall enrollment for the school was down 13.2% from the 2024/2025 school year.

District champion Mavs set sights on state title
