Ephrata rolls past Wapato
EPHRATA - The Tigers won in dominating fashion Friday, defeating Wapato 78-8 and improved to 3-1 on the season. Ephrata's rushing attack got back on track in a big way against the Wolves, gaining 335 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground, while spreading the ball around to multiple backs and showcasing their depth at the position. Since suffering a 37-7 loss at the hands of Ellensburg in week two, the Tigers have outscored their opponents 108-14 and played aggressive football on offense, defense and special teams. While this years group of Tigers have shown versatility, their strong suit has unquestionably been their run game, and Friday proved to be their best rushing effort of the season thus far.

Soap Lake observes Memorial Day
SOAP LAKE - Ceremonies at the Soap Lake, Ephrata and Quincy cemeteries were held on Memorial day by members of the VFW Post 24, American Legion Post 28, VFW Auxiliary Unit 24 and American Legion Auxiliary unit 28. VFW Post 24 Commander Phil Anderson gave a small speech at each ceremony. In his speech he said he wanted people to enjoy their barbeques and days off from work but to simply remember why they have the freedom to do so; to take a moment and reflect on those that gave their lives for their freedom. The speech was followed by the laying of a few wreaths and the American Legion Colorguard.

The full text of the ordinance will be mailed, without charge, to any person upon request.) The Moses Lake City Council adopted an ordinance which eliminates the Tourism Commission. This ordinance, which was passed on January 24, 2017, will take effect and be in force five days after publication. Ordinance No. 2856 An ordinance amending Chapter 13.03 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Stormwater Utility and Provisions for Rate Structure" (This summary is published pursuant to RCW 35A.12.160. The full text of the ordinance will be mailed, without charge, to any person upon request.) The Moses Lake City Council adopted an ordinance which removes the fees and references them to the approved fee schedule.
