ML student makes Wheaton College dean’s list

WHEATON, ILL. — Moses Lake High School graduate Zach Henninger made the Spring 2022 Wheaton College dean’s list, according to a college press release. To earn a spot on the Wheat College dean’s list, an undergraduate must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale and carry a full course load of 12 or more credit hours, the press release said.

Huffmans mark 60 years of marriage

MOSES LAKE — Mira and Eddie Huffman celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary today. The Huffmans were married on Oct. 3, 1962, in Quincy. Now retired, they formerly owned Perkins Family Restaurant in Moses Lake. The couple has two children, Jackie Huffman of Tarpon Springs, Florida and Kelly and John Hanold of Moses Lake. The Huffmans also have two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

But anybody standing next to the orange 2005 Chevrolet Silverado felt their lungs vibrate when owner Santana Palacios turned up the volume. A lot of people were impressed.

I voted for Judge Estudillo. This spring I served on a jury for a criminal trial in Grant County, over which Judge Estudillo presided. It was a long, complicated trial, so I was able to observe him in his work environment for almost two weeks. I found him to be respectful, considerate, competent and professional in his courtroom.
